Music, in all its forms, has the incredible ability to inspire, promote discipline, ignite creativity, and build skills to last a lifetime. In this exploration, we will expand and enrich the music program at DCDS by focusing on the teaching approach, the environment we create, and the community that supports and celebrates musical learning for all!
Approach
Our approach to guitar, bass guitar and drum lessons is all about getting students playing from day one. Learn by doing! It’s not just about hitting full chords or playing entire songs right away - it’s about sparking a love for the instrument and experiencing what it feels like to make music. We want every student to discover how fun, exciting, and rewarding playing can be. Are you ready to ROCK OUT!

Basic Package
- Acoustic Guitar Lessons
- Bass Guitar Lessons
- Electric Guitar Lessons
- Drum Lessons
Age Requirements:
- 7 & up
Pricing and Policies:
- Weekly In-Person lessons are $35/Half Hour, $45/ 45 Minutes, $65 /hour.
- Tuition is pre-paid monthly upon enrollment.
- If a conflict with your lesson arises, the lesson can be rescheduled to another day/time that week. If there is no available time for a reschedule then the account will be charged for the missed lesson.
- Cancellations without 24-hour notice will be charged.
- Credits will be given if the teacher is absent.

Chris Warren has been a proud resident of Springfield for the past 30 years. A passionate and adaptable musician, he provides lessons in acoustic and electric guitar, bass, and drums, drawing in decades of experience both on stage and in the studio.
Chris grew up surrounded by music-an early exposure that sparked a lifelong passion for performing and learning. This love led him to study music theory and develop a strong foundation in musicianship. His well-rounded education and real-world performance make him a relatable and knowledgeable instructor for students of all ages and skill levels. He deeply believes in music’s power to connect people and loves sharing that joy with others.
Whether guiding a beginner through their first chords or performing on stage with a band, Chris approaches every musical moment with enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine love for the craft.
Still an active performer, Chris brings insight into current industry and a love of live music into each lesson, inspiring students to grow their skills while having fun!
